These two always seemed more or less in squabble with each other. Wasn't it Athens so was it Odysseus or Perseus or some other hero Athena was helping.
Probably because they were both powerful, stubborn and energetic and none of them were used to back down and give some other person an advantage. And when they met someone else who didn't back down they were unused to it and whatever diplomacy they had aquired went out the door.
And to be true, most of the times - well all I guess - I found myself rooting for Athena...
Indeed, and that's what I like about the gods, they are of all kinds and they are multi-levelled never flawless, makes them all the more interesting. I can think up interactions between them eternally
I know, right? It's fun to make tie-ins like that. Like, gor some reason, my characters of Minos and Kharon are BFFs because neither of them appeared to have amazing social skills in mythology and didn't seem like nice guys in general. So they ended up as kindered souls.
I use to have fun with the Muses too, they are so alike, so they always try to enhance their differences, pulling in various directions. I wrote a story once about them running a radio station and hoe they thought about what music to play. It's in Swedish though, but one day if I get some time on my hands I'll translate it.
Same here! I screw with Thalia and Melpomene waaaaayy too much. Thalia's a quirky life-of-the-party type while MelMel's quiet, a bit shy, and sophisticated. And it's rare to see one without the other- they're BFFE (best friends for eternity XD)
Yes it's so fun, and they always drive Apollo nuts, because they can't help teasing him or asking daft questions or remixing his songs or pointing out that he wears one gray and one blue sock or take pictures of him when he's asleep or eat peanut butter sandwishes because he hate peanut butter and suggest he should paint his nails and so on
